Rosh Hashana Toast 2024
75 members of Lion Of Judah gathered in Herzliya for a New Year’s toast, in an atmosphere of resilience and unity.
During the event, Varda Ben Baruch, a member of the organization, delivered a heartfelt prayer for the quick return of all October 7th hostages, especially her grandson, Idan Alexander, which added a personal and inspiring dimension to the occasion. Sara Oren, the organization’s chairwoman, highlighted Varda’s strength and resilience as an example for all of us.
During the event, a ceremony was held to welcome eight new members, who were warmly greeted by all.
In addition, the organization’s president, Riki Rosenberg, presented Sara Oren with a special award in the name of the founders of the worldwide Lion of Judah organization, which is given once every two years for outstanding social contribution.
The evening concluded with an emotional ceremony where grants were awarded to four women who volunteer in their communities. These women have faced personal challenges but remained determined to break through the glass ceiling. Yael Rakov Drori, chairwoman of the committee that selects the recipients, led the ceremony and emphasized the light and hope that shone through the event, despite the challenging times. The grant recognizes and appreciates their volunteerism, exceptional efforts, and determination on the path to success. In addition to the grant, they received a gift contributed by Dr. Fischer.
May we all have a good year full of action and giving!
