The Annual Conference of Lion of Judah Israel - 2025

This week, the LOJI annual conference took place at the Dan Caesarea Hotel.

Over a day and a half, we focused on themes of hope, optimism, and joy.

We began the morning with a “pinning ceremony”, welcoming new members into the organization and pinning them with the Lion of Judah pin. We also presented certificates of appreciation to Ettie Propper and Ruthie Kristal, two inspiring longtime members who have been dedicated, active members and who have made important contributions to LOJI for many years.  Doron Medalie captivated us with a lecture about the behind-the-scenes of the Eurovision competition, and what it takes to win against all odds.  The artist Tal Tenne Czaczkes introduced us to the “Flag Project,”  made up of abandoned Israeli flags, and together we raised the giant Flag of Hope. Later Daniella London Dekel and Liza Panelim brought smiles to our faces with their stories, recipes, and illustrations inspired by funny everyday situations.

We heard moving testimonies from participants in projects we are involved in. We sat at round tables, sharing personal and inspiring moments of hope. To conclude, artist Liora Kantrowitz delivered a lecture on growth and creativity through courage and faith.

We celebrated our togetherness, got to know each other better, and marked the holiday of Purim. We did not forget our dear friend, Varda Ben Baruch, grandmother of hostage Edan Alexander, and we prayed for his return along with all the other hostages.
